Vote For Nduom – Kufuor

Elmina (C/R) July 11, GNA – President John Agyekum Kufuor on Saturday urged the people of Elmina to unite and vote for Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, Minister of Energy, to represent them in Parliament.

President Kufuor, who said this when he joined the people of Edina to celebrate this year’s Bakatue Festival, described Dr Nduom as a man of substance.

He said Dr Nduom had always stood up to the task and that such people should be in Parliament to move the country forward. He said the time had come for Ghanaians to vote capable persons into Parliament and urged the people to resolve their political difference and forge ahead with the development of their area Dr Nduom denied that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government had marginalized the people of Elmina and called on them to support the Government and gave the assurance that they would also benefit from the national cake.

He expressed concern about the way children of school-going age idled around the Castles and Forts, begging for alms from foreign tourists and urged parents to ensure that their children were in school. He also urged them to keep the beaches clean so as to attract more tourists to the District, stressing that no tourist would like to spend time at a filthy beach.

Dr Nduom called for peace and unity before; during and after Election 2004 and that they should endeavour to vote for somebody, who had the welfare of the people of Elmina at heart.
