Voluntary body Sinks Six Wells In Asuano

Asuano (B/A), July 3, The African Assistance Plan (AAP), a non-governmental Christian organisation with financial sponsorship from the United States has sunk six hand-dug wells estimated at about seven million cedis in selected communities in the Nkoranza district. The communities are Pinihe, Domeabra, Tankor, Baafi, Boana and Asuano. The sixth and recent one known as ‘Chesner Family Memorial Well of USA’ and constructed at Ausano at a cost of about 1.2 million cedis has been commissioned. The president of the AAP, the Reverend Kelly Forson repeated the Government’s intention to assist communities which initiate their own projects and urged the people not to allow party politics to affect their developmental efforts. He urged the people to form water and sanitation committees to ensure the maintenance of the wells.
