Volta IRS Ladies Club collects 19,973,494,10 cedis

Ho, Dec. 14, GNA – The Volta Regional Branch of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Ladies Club has collected a total of 19,973,494,10 cedis at the end of a three-hour tax education campaign in Ho to mark the 10 anniversary celebration of the Club.

Ms Judith Parku, Vice President of the Regional Branch of the Club, told the Ghana News Agency that the group was not only concerned with gender, social or recreational issues but it would also constantly educate members on their primary responsibilities as tax collectors hence its motto; “The best man for the job is a woman”.

She said the Club would organise seminars and workshops to enable them to work hard to raise the image of the Club.

Ms Parku, therefore, urged members to take advantage of any such opportunity to develop their competencies to quality service delivery.
