Virgin Nigeria begins Abuja-Accra flight

Nigeria’s flag carrier Virgin Nigerian has commenced direct flights from the capital city of Abuja to Accra, Ghana.

The first flight departed Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja 19 May for the Ghanaia n capital.

”This is only a natural step forward as we continue to establish the airline’s dominance on the domestic and regional routes,” said airline spokesman Francis Ayigbe.

“As Nigeria’s flag carrier, we are proud that we have been able to connect two of Africa’s seats of power directly,” he said.

Virgin had earlier launched a direct flight from Lagos to Accra.

From its hub at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Nigeria’s economic capital city of Lagos, Virgin Nigeria also flies to Abidjan Accra, Cotonou, Dakar, Douala, Libreville and Monrovia
