Vice President leaves for Gambia

Accra, July 21, GNA – The Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama left Accra on Wednesday afternoon for Banjul, Gambia to participate in the 10 years anniversary of President Yahaya Jameh, as Head of State of that country, which falls tomorrow.

The Minister of Ports, Harbours and Railways, Professor Ameyaw Akumfi; Justice Allan Brobbey, Justice of the Supreme Court who was recently appointed Chief Justice of Gambia; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Akwesi Osei Agyei, and Mr Abraham Osei Adu, Deputy Majority Leader accompanied him.

Other Heads of State from the West Africa Sub-Region are expected to attend the ceremony. The Vice President is expected back on Saturday.
