Use Eid Adha To Pray For Peaceful Elections-Akilu Sayibu

The New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for Tamale North, Mr. Akilu Sayibu has called on Muslims in the Northern region to use this year’s eid-Adha festival to pray for peaceful presidential and parliamentary elections next year in the region in particular and Ghana as a whole.
In a statement issued to the media in Tamale, Mr. Akilu Sayibu said that, elections in the region were usually characterized with tension and violence and once the country was approaching crucial elections next year; there was the urgent need for continuous prayers to be said towards successful and peaceful elections.
The Tamale North parliamentary candidate also used the opportunity to wish Muslims in the region happy Eid-Adha celebration especially the people of Tamale North and urged them to emulate the steadfastness and sacrifice that prophet Abraham showed during his life when he agreed to slaughter his only son in line with the wish of God which is the basis for the Eid-Adha celebration in all their endeavors.
