Accra, Jan. 7, GNA- The University Students Association of Ghana (USAG) on Friday congratulated President John Agyekum Kufuor on his re-election and the inauguration of his second term as President of the Republic of Ghana.
A statement signed by Thomas Nyarko Ampem, the President, said the Association was honoured to wish the President divine guidance and wisdom and pledged its support for the NPP government so far as its actions were directed towards national development.
“The mandate given testifies the confidence Ghanaians have in your personality and Government of the NPP,” it said.
The Association further congratulated Members of Parliament- elect especially those going for the first time.
He commended the citizenry for the maturity and diligence they exhibited during elections and encouraged the media to continue playing its role as the people watch dog.
