Upper West Cadres on crises in NDC

Wa, Jan 25, GNA – The Association of Committees for the Defence of the Revolution (ACDR) in the Upper West Region on Wednesday advised all its cadres to be cautious in their utterances while they observed developments within the National Democratic Congress.

In a statement issued by its secretary, Mr Mathew Bonye, the association noted with regret the crisis that was raging in the NDC. “The collective position of cadres in the post Rawlings and Obed differences will be a deciding factor in the character and form of the party”, the statement said.

The statement said political plurali sm had become the order of the day but that could only be achieved in the NDC through its old traditional practice of “democratic centralism” in which both Former President Jerry John Rawlings and Dr Obed Asamoah were disciples.
