Professor Anamuah-Mensah said only sixty per cent of available accommodation vacancies went to the fresh students this year, while the rest would have look for their own accommodation outside the university campuses.

He said the University has encouraged landlords and landladies to form an Association to ensure that the students receive fair treatment and services from them and also protect their interest. The VC urged the students to take their studies very serious and avoid negative tendencies that would not promote their academic goals. He said that the ICT is a compulsory course that is designed to guide them to develop skills with word processing, spreadsheet, presentations, website development and to effectively browse the Internet to sift relevant information.

“As you browse the net, avoid pornographic sites and sites that do not enhance your academic work.” He encourage them to join the Winneba Linux Group to develop and deepen their IT skills.
