Two-Year Baby Dumped In Dam At Tamale

Tamale (N/R), 4 June A badly decomposed body of a two-year-old girl wrapped in calico discovered in a dam at Bilkpela, a suburb of Tamale. The girl is believed to have been murdered and dumped into the water, but the police say they have no clues yet. Police Inspector Francis Armah of the Criminal Investigations Department told the press today that they have intensified investigations into the incident. He said they are taking a serious view of the case since the decomposed body had polluted the dam which serves several communities as their source of drinking water. He appealed to residents to assist the police with any information that can help them to arrest the culprit. Inspector Armah also appealed to the medical authorities at the Tamale regional hospital to expedite action on the post mortem report.
