Two police officers arrested over Ghc3000 bribe

The Techiman Police command in the Brong Ahafo region has arrested two police officers for allegedly taking Ghc3000 bribe.

The suspects Sergeant Siman Gaw and Prince are also believed to be involved in the sale of substances suspected to be Indian hemp popularly known as wee.

The two police officers are currently in police custody.

In a related development, a gang of four suspected military personnel over the weekend embarked on a robbery spree in Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

The soldiers dressed in military uniforms robbed a number of persons at drinking spots in Koforidua.

Several attempts by the Police Patrol team to arrest the suspects proved futile.

The New Juaben Municipal Police Commander, Superintendent Richardson Kumekor told Starr News that the police is in possession of some suspected military accoutrements to aid in investigation.
