Two die in Nsawam overpass accident

The Ghana Police Service is warning drivers plying the new Nsawam overpass to drive with caution to avoid accidents on that stretch of the road.

The caution follows an accident which reportedly claimed two lives with scores of people sustaining varying degrees of injuries when a bus run into an articulated truck.

The police suspect drivers take advantage of the newly constructed roads to speed.

Nsawam Municipal MTTU Commander DSP Samuel Ntoso said drivers must be careful using that stretch of road.

“Drivers must be careful when they use that stretch of road. As we talk now one of the two victims who have died is still in the mortuary and we don’t know his identity,” he said.

He added the situation becomes worse when it rains and drivers must be cautious.
