Twifo Praso LESDEP beneficiaries receive start up kits

Mr. Joseph Foster Andoh, the District Chief Executive of Twifo-Heman-Lower Denkyira, has distributed start-up kits to 27 apprentices who completed their training under the Local Enterprises Skills and Entrepreneurial Development Programme (LESDEP)in the District at Twifo Praso.

The tailors, barbers, hair dressers, auto mechanics, mobile phone repairers, black smiths and masons were presented with equipments worth GH?133,000.00 provided by Twifo Heman-Lower Denkyira District Assembly.

Some of the equipments include sewing machines, hair dryers and spare parts.

Presenting the items, Mr. Foster Andoh appealed to the beneficiaries not to sell the items since the Assembly would not spare anybody caught doing so.

Mr. Emmanuel Detsiah, head of the District Business Advisory Centre, said the objective of the programme was to help the youth to be self employed and create employment.

Mr. Knight Kweku Acquah, presiding member of the Assembly, urged the unemployed youth to take advantage of the Rural Enterprises Program to undergo training in their trades of choice, and with the help of the program establish their own businesses and create employment in the district.**
