Twenty-year-old jailed for defiling three-year-old

Cape Coast, July 15, GNA – The Cape Coast Circuit Court has sentenced Daniel Bekoe, 20, 18 years imprisonment in hard labour for defiling a three-year-old girl.

He pleaded guilty.

Police Inspector Daniel Agbe said on July 02 someone who was on her way to the river side to draw water saw the convict lure the victim into an abundant building and defiled her.

He gave the victim cocoa drink after the act and brought her out of the building.

Inspector Agbe said the eye witness confronted the convict who admitted the offence. A complaint was lodged at Assin Darmang Police Station and the accused person was arrested.
