Tema, Aug. 2, GNA – The Tema Circuit Court ‘B’ has sentenced a Truck-pusher at the Tema Fishing Harbour to 12 months’ imprisonment for stealing a speaker from a seized car at the Harbour. Atta Panin pleaded guilty.

Inspector Teye Matey told the court presided by Mr Stephen Teye that on July 10 at about 0550 hours, a security officer of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), who had closed from work at the Fishing Harbour, saw that the accused had removed a Sony speaker from a seized car.

He said, the Security Officer confronted the accused and sent him to the Fishing Harbour Police Station. The accused told the Court that he found the speaker on the ground and not in the car and decided to send it to the refuse dump. 2 Aug. 04
