Tourism Ministry presents vehicles to GTA

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, on Friday presented 17 vehicles to the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) to enhance its operational activities.

The vehicles, acquired by the Ministry, was to be distributed to the regional offices of the Authority to enhance monitoring, evaluation and collection of tourism levies.

Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, urged managers of the vehicles to use them to boost tourism activities and enhance revenue generation.

Mr Akunu Dake, the Board Chairman, GTA, commended the Minister for her leadership and direction to develop the tourism sector of the economy.

He said it was the dream of the Authority to acquire more vehicles since it had broadened its operations to develop the tourism and creative arts industries.
