Another recruitment scam hits Ghana Police Service

Another recruitment scam involving a number of young men and women has hit the Ghana Police Service.

The prospective recruits carrying their trunks, mattresses and ‘chop’ boxes and holding their appointment letters converged on a house at Amamoley, near Sowutuom in Accra ready to be conveyed to the various police depots in the country for training.

The Unites States Embassy in Accra-Ghana, has dismissed reports that it is ripping Ghanaians off by accepting visa fees in spite of the visa issuance imbroglio that has hit US embassies across the world.

The embassy has not been able to issue visas for more than a week due to systems failure.

Pay me Or I expose your sex video – Girl threatens Asamoah Gyan

A university student, Sarah Kwabla, is threatening to make public what she describes as a secretly recorded video of sexual intercourse she had with Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan.

Sarah said she secretly recorded the video when the Black Stars captain had sex with her at her apartment in February this year and that she has decided to make it public because her relationship with the footballer is not going as she had envisaged.

Asamoah Gyan’s sex case closed – Police

The Odorkor police have expressed surprise at reports that Sarah Kwabla has filed a report of sodomy against Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan.

The police said no one has filed any report of rape or sodomy against the footballer.

Mahama appoints new EC boss

President Mahama has appointed Mrs. Charlotte Kesson Smith Osei as Chair of the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana becoming the first woman to hold the position since independence in 1957.

EC new chair is affiliated to the NDC – Gabby

Former Director of the Danquah Institute Gabby Asare Otchere Darko has said the new chair of the Electoral Commission is “affiliated to the ruling party.”

Speaking on Joy FM’s news analysis programme Newsfile, Saturday, the New Patriotic Party member said he knows Charlotte Osei personally and has no doubt in his mind the successor to Afari Gyan has political leanings to the governing National Democratic Congress.
