Togbi Attipoe calls for out-of-court settlement of ARS problem

Ho, Feb. 21, GNA – Togbi Dukli Attipoe V, a member of the former Interim Executive Committee (IEC) of the Apostles Revelation Society (ARS) on Sunday advised Apostle J.K. Amegah of the Church to facilitate an out-of court settlement of the Church’s leadership misunderstanding. Togbi Attipoe, who was speaking at the National Youth Rally of the Church in Ho, said the gesture would be a demonstration of goodwill towards the maintenance of church unity.

The theme for the rally was: “Mobilising the Youth for Development”. He said the unity of the Church must be the paramount consideration at this crucial time of the history of the Church, when it has embarked on several high profile development projects.

He said the current developments in the Church are challenges to the Church’s Christian values.

Togbi Attipoe said there was the need for the Church to work towards ensuring continuous improvement in the ways it organised its affairs.

That imperative, he said need not be misconstrued as departing from the principles of the Church and thus become a source of conflict and division.

Togbi Attipoe urged the youth of the church not to take sides in the current leadership impasse but be focused on helping to build the church for future generations.

In an address, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ho Central said the ARS like the E.P. Church is an important institution and symbol of the region, which must not be left to fall apart.

“We will be ready to help in which ever way we could to keep the unity of the Church intact”, he assured.
