Three thieves sentenced to 36 months imprisonment each

Kumasi, April 21, GNA-A Kumasi circuit court, has sentenced three persons to three years imprisonment each, in hard labour for conspiracy and stealing.

Kwabena Boateng, 30, Alhassan Ibrahim, 27, and Yaw Nimo, 25 were convicted on their own pleas.

Police Chief Inspector W.K. Salia, told the court presided over by Mr Bright Mensah, that at 1100 hours on April 12, this year, the accused persons attacked and robbed Mr Alex Tetteh, the complainant at Dunkirk in the Kumasi Metropolis at 1100 hours and took away his 400,000 cedis and jumped into a drain. Luck, however, eluded them when they were arrested and handed over to the Police when the complainant raised the alarm.
