Three more bodies retrieved from burnt vessel

Tema, April 20, GNA – Three decomposed bodies were on Tuesday retrieved from the Togolese registered vessel which got burnt on the Good Friday at the PSC Tema Shipyard at Tema.

This adds up to 18 the number of bodies retrieved.

The three bodies are said to be carpenters who were working on the vessel and one of them, a Mr Oppong, still has his vehicle parked in the premises of the company.

His relatives identified his body and he is said to be the contractor in charge of the repair works on the vessel. The three bodies were not burnt but were decomposed.

The fire destroyed the entire Sea Water Pumping Station of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), a refurbished Conveyor Belt of the Volta Aluminium Company and other structures nearby.
