Three DCEs hand over to Western Regional Minister

Three District Chief Executives (DCEs) in the Western Region, whose tenure of office had ended, have handed over to the Regional Minister, Mr. Paul Evans Aidoo.

They are Mr. Enoch Kojo Appiah, Shama, Mr. Slyvester Nouma Daddieh, Jomoro, and Mr. Peter Tweneboah Kodua, Bia West.

Mr. Aidoo commended them for serving their nation to the best of their abilities, and said it lied within the mandate of the President to re-nominate them, or otherwise.

He, however, expressed displeasure about the behaviour of some National Democratic Congress activists in Jomoro District who besieged the bungalow of the DCE last week and demanded that he vacated the premises and handed over his official vehicle to them.

The Regional Minister indicated that it was only the President who had the mandate to ask a DCE to step aside when the tenure of office came to an end.

He urged party faithful to respect the Constitution at all times, to ensure peace and harmony.

The DCEs expressed their appreciation to the President for giving them the opportunity to serve their nation.
