Three people have been arrested following the alleged killing of a mobile money vendor at Kasoa Second in Ghana’s Central Region.
The suspects are 59-year-old Felicia Osei Appiah, 24-year-old Clement Opoku Yeboah and a female juvenile.
The deceased has been named as 34-year-old Christian Amponsah.
The Central East Regional Police Command said the arrests were made on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, after a guest house manager reported that two people who had booked a room for two hours had not checked out.
When the manager went to inspect the room, the victim was found lying motionless in a pool of blood, according to police.
DSP Victor Kofi Dosoo, Head of Public Affairs for the Central East Region, provided the details in a statement dated Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Officers who attended the scene found the body lying face down and covered with bedsheets, curtains and pillows.
The remains have been taken to the Police Hospital mortuary in Accra, where they will be preserved and undergo an autopsy to establish the cause of death.
The three suspects remain in police custody and are assisting with the investigation.
Police said they would be put before court once the investigations have been completed.
