Thieves raid Juaso Presbyterian Church

Thieves have raided the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church at Juaso in the Asante-Akim South District and made away with an unspecified amount of money and musical instruments.

Among the stolen items were an organ, mixer, amplifier and four microphones.

Mr Ishmael Mantey Arkoh, Clerk of the Church, confirmed the incident to the Ghana News Agency, saying it happened during the night on last Saturday.

Some members of the Young Peoples’ Guild who had gone to clean the church on Sunday at about 0600 hours detected the theft.

They noticed that one of the doors was broken and the office of the Clerk ransacked.

Mr Arkoh said this was the third time in four years that the church had been burgled.

He appealed to the public to be on the lookout and report anyone seen selling any of the church’s stolen property.
