Sunyani ,Nov. 11, GNA – The Techiman Municipal Assembly topped a league of 170 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) with 98 per cent score in the 2010 assessment year of the District Development Facility (DDF).
The DDF is an award scheme initiated by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development with funding support from the Netherlands government whereby the Functional Organizational Assessment Tool (FOAT) is used to assess the performance of the MMDAs.
Assemblies that obtain the required pass mark are allocated some funds for capacity building and development projects.
