The Kunke Foundation supports education

A non-governmental organisation (NGO), The Kunke Foundation, has donated furniture items worth about GHC4,000 to Agona Amanful Mensakrom Methodist Primary School.

The items included 36 chairs, 1 teacher’s table, 3 round tables for children, 6 big tables, furniture and two ceiling fans.

Making the presentation, co-founder of the Foundation, Mrs. Joana Kunke, explained that her outfit was moved by the plight of the school.

“…and as a Foundation that supports education in the country we thought it wise to support Agona Amanful Mensakrom Methodist Primary School,” she stressed.

Formed 2006, The Kunke Foundation has been supporting education, particularly in the Central region.

The Agona Amanful Methodist Primary donation was the third of such donations that the Foundation has offered in the region.

The headmistress of the school who received the items was full of praise for The Kunke Foundation, and called on other NGOs, philanthropists and civil society organisations (CSOs) to come to the aid of her school.

She also made a passionate appeal to the Foundation to help them with computers and teaching and learning aid.

For his part, founder of The Kunke Foundation, Michael Kunke, promised to provide them with these news items in December this year.
