THE GNPC RECEIVES TENDERS FOR POWER PLANT

The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation has announced that it has received bids from eight companies at the close of the tender bids on May 19, 1997, for the GNPC/OECF Power Plant Barge Project.

A press release issued and signed by Mr. Ben S.K. Dagadu, Tano Project Coordinator named the bidders for the Power Plant Barge Package 1, as Marubeni Corporation, Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Co., Sumitomo Corporation, Mitsui and Co. Ltd/Ansaldo Energia, Spie Entertrans/ Kanematsu/ Lisnave Turbotecnia and Steward and Stevenson.

Bidders for the 161 Transmission Line which constitute Package 11 are ABB SAE Sademi and Norelec.
