The Crusading Guide

“Fall-outs from the ‘Lagos Bombshell’….5 million dollars allegation is the work of evil forces!” the lead front page headline of the Crusading Guide says.

The paper says the NDC Member of Parliament for Klottey-Korley, Mr David Lamptey, has stoutly defended President Jerry Rawlings against the allegation of a 5 million-dollar bribe money allegedly paid to the President by the late General Sani Abacha’s Security Adviser, Alhaji Ismail Gwarzo. The Crusading Guide says Mr Lamptey contended that the allegation is not only unfounded but frivolous and malicious” “People who have had the opportunity to work with His Excellency, President Rawlings and know the stuff he is made of, will treat allegation as bribery against him as frivolous, useless and baseless. They will treat such allegations with the contempt they deserve, as the work of evil detractors”, the paper quotes Mr. Lamptey as saying.
