Tension is mounting in Nkroful in the Western Region of Ghana following attempts by the youth to distool the chief of the town, Nana Kwesi Kutuah, StarrFMonline.com has gathered.
According to reports, the youth of the town numbering over 200 besieged the chief’s palace to perform what they described as exit rites to end the reign of Nana Kutuah.
The youth are accusing the chief of corruption and conniving with mining companies to destroy the river bodies and other natural resources in the area.
Nana Kutuah, StarrFMOnline.com understands, is on an educational trip abroad, but the matter has been reported to the paramount chief of the Atuabo traditional authority to sit on it.
