Ten Adansi communities to get electricity

New Edubiase (Ash), Aug. 23, GNA – Ten communities in the Adansi South and North districts are to benefit from the Self Help Electrification Project (SHEP), Mr Dominic Yeboah, Adansi South District Chief Executive, has announced.

The communities are Afiaso, Adansi-Swedru, Akutreso, Subriso, Bronikrom, Dasubi-Madwene, Menang, Wuruyie, Atwenna-Boana and Donkonaasi.

Mr Yeboah told the GNA in an interview that so far about 500 low-tension electricity poles had been erected in the 10 communities. He said some farms might be affected during the execution of the project and appealed to persons whose farms would be affected to be understanding.

“They will, apart from receiving compensation for the crops or a few cocoa trees that may be destroyed, benefit from the project.” The DCE urged the communities to support the project with communal labour to ensure its early completion.
