TEIN urges NDC leaders to resolve their differences

Accra, Oct. 29, GNA – The Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of the NDC, on Thursday, appealed to Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings and President John Evans Atta Mills to resolve any differences between them for the sake of the party.

In a statement signed by Dr David Sunu, President of the Greater Accra regional TEIN to the Ghana News Agency, reminded the leaders that: “No matter our individual political views and agenda, we are all comrades.

“And in these difficult times we must rise above individualism, selfishness and parochialism and unite against the politics of division and let us begin to work together, unite in common effort to chart a new course for our party.

“It is time to focus our attention on the party unity and rally support for our government to deliver on the Better Ghana agenda. That is the change we promised Ghanaians”. The statement also called on the NDC National Executives to stamp their authority, to ensure that everyone plays by the rules and regulations of the party.

The statement urged perceived Presidential aspirants within the party to call their supporters and admirers to order, as far as the declaration of intent and the campaign for the flag bearer of the party. “Abide by the timetable that shall be provided by the National Executive Committee, show higher level of respect for the structures and constitution of the party,” the statement stated. The TEIN statement appealed to NDC leaders and supporters to demonstrate that, unity is inherent in the genetic composition of the party”, and that it must not allow issues of factions and camps to destroy the party because the NDC is bigger than any individual”. 29 Oct. 10
