Teachers Undergo Kindergarten Curriculum Workshop

Bolgatanga, Dec 22, -GNA- A three-day capacity building workshop for 140 teachers on the usage of the new curriculum for Kindergarten centre on Friday ended in Bolgatanga.

Participants were taken through topics such as English Language and Literacy, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, Methodology and Assessment, psycho- Social, Creativity, and Music Dance and Physical Development.

In an address, Mr. Anthony Aziabah, Bolgatanga Municipal Director of Education entreated teachers to use the new curriculum for Kindergarten centres to guide them to lay a solid foundation for the Educational Reforms in 2007.

Mr. Aziabah said teachers should endeavour to help their pupils to express their emotions, thoughts and actions in various ways through listing, speaking, reading and writing.

He urged the teachers to stick to their responsibilities by writing lesson notes to guide them in their effective delivering of their lessons.
