Teachers Threaten To Withdraw Service

Nkoranza (Brong Ahafo), 18 Nov.

Teachers in the Nkoranza District of Brong Ahafo have threatened to withdraw their services by Friday November 21 if nothing is done about a case in which “MACHO” men allegedly beat up teachers at the Nkoranza Anglican School recently. He said the matter was reported to the police but it appears the case has been “HIJACKED” by some powerful people. Mr.. Biney said all attempts to trace the whereabouts of the docket have not yielded any positive results. He said the Fundamental Human Rights of the teachers are being trampled upon adding that the “MACHO” men went to many schools but the teachers there had fore knowledge and escaped. Teachers in the district, he said feel unsafe in the discharge of their legitimate duties.
