TB patients urged to complete treatment

Takoradi Jan.4, GNA- Mr Edwin Kunbatazie, Western Regional Health Education Officer, noted on Tuesday that tuberculosis infections from patients who failed to complete the treatment of the disease was very difficult to cure.

Mr Kunbatazie, who was speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Takoradi, explained that such patients tend to develop drugs resistance.

He said treatment of tuberculosis was free and expected to last at eight months and advised patients to avail themselves of the service. Mr Kunbatazie called on people who cough persistently to go for medical examination and treatment.
