Taxi Driver found dead in a swimming pool

Aflao, Jan 21, GNA – Godfred Akagbo, 25, a taxi driver, was on Thursday night found dead in a seven-feet deep swimming pool at Hotel Makavo at Aflao.

Police sources said they were yet to establish the circumstances of his death, believed to be by drowning.

Mr Baba Moro, Aflao District Police Crime Officer as well as sources close to the Ketu District Hospital at Aflao would not go beyond confirming the incident.

“It is too early, investigations have just started so cannot say much now,” Mr Moro stated.

Mr Obed Okudjeto, the Proprietor of the Hotel, told the GNA that he personally saw Akagbo sitting with a lady attendant of the hotel before he went to the house a little after 1800 hours that day. He said he was informed of the death of Akagbo at around 2300 hours.
