Tanyigbe youth leader donates to clinic

Mr Frank Kpodo, Youth Leader, of Tanyigbe Traditional Area, has presented medical supplies worth GH¢ 212,000.00 to the Tanyigbe Community Clinic.

The items included 10 hospital beds and mattresses, bedside cabinets, drip stands and assorted toiletries.

He said his intention was to revive the clinic and position it to offer quality healthcare services to people in the area.

Mr Kpodo said he was moved by how the elderly in the traditional area suffered to access healthcare in Ho, some 20 minutes drive away, because the local clinic was not well equipped.

He said the bad state of the clinic contributed to the poor staffing of health professionals there and expressed the hope the situation would change with the presentation of the items.

Mr Francis Ganyaglo, Deputy Volta Regional Minister, commended Mr Kpodo and his wife for the donation said such initiatives were needed to accelerate development in communities.
