Take active part in decentralization process – DCE

Asankare (Ash), Feb. 9, GNA – Dr Lord Justice Gyamfi-Fenteng, Asante-Akim South District Chief Executive, has advised Ghanaians to take active part in the decentralization process to ensure good governance.

He said active participation of the people at various levels of governance would ensure speedy development and participatory democracy. Dr Gyamfi-Fenteng stated this at a forum with the chiefs and people of Asankare in the Asante-Akim South district. The DCE urged the people to eschew negative tendencies that retard progress and rekindle their communal spirit to move the community forward.

He entreated them to shun people who politicize the National Health Insurance Scheme to satisfy their selfish interest and instead, patronize it to safeguard their health.
