Suspected gay man attacked in Kumasi

Drama unfolded at Adum in Kumasi the Ashanti regional capital after an angry mob attacked a man suspected to be a homosexual.

The incident occurred around 6 pm on Tuesday.

The victim believed to be in his late twenties was allegedly in a green shirt and khaki shorts and had makeup on.

“He came to the area to buy clothes from street hawkers and due to his dressing the guys around started throwing sachet water on him” An eyewitness narrated to Starr News’ Abena Owusu Nyamekye

It took the timely intervention of the Kejetia Police to save his life.

The eyewitness added that the hawkers struggled with the police officers demanding the release of the suspected gay man to be lynched.
