Surveyor faces bench warrant

Accra, Feb. 11, GNA – Emmanuel Otoo, an Accra based Surveyor, on Monday failed to appear before an Accra Circuit Court to face the charge of defrauding Mr Issaka Paapa Osuman of an amount of 8.6 million cedis. The Presiding Judge Mrs Elizabeth Ankuman therefore issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Otto who is also known as “Paa Joe”.

Police Chief Inspector George Abavelim told the court that Paapa Osuman purchased 10 plots of land on the Tuba road from Nii Kpakpo Amako of the Sempe Stool.

He said Paapa Osuman later found out that the land belonged to the Weija Stool and Otoo was thus requested to replace the land Paapa Osuman paid for.

The Prosecutor said Otoo failed to deliver on his promise and was arrested on December 27, 2003.
