Sunyani Municipal Fire Officer appeals for assistance

Sunyani(BAR), Dec. 21, GNA – Mr Kwasi Baffour-Awuah, Sunyani Municipal Fire Officer, has appealed to Government, individuals and organizations to assist the Municipal Directorate to acquire a vehicle to enhance its operations. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani, Mr Baffour-Awuah said the directorate lacked such an important facility in its operations and had seriously affected the performance of personnel in conducting investigations.

“It is our duty to educate the people in the municipality and rural communities about bush fires especially during the Harmattan season but the absence of a vehicle has become a huge problem for us,” he said. Mr Baffour-Awuah called for a quick response to their appeal because the challenges facing them needed to be tackled with a sense of urgency.
