Student shot dead…Policeman in custody

Mr Regin ald Puplampu, 21, a former student of Aggrey Memorial Zion School at Cape Coast, met his untimely death at dawn yesterday when armed policemen in a vehicle, GP839, fired gun shots into a Datsun Estate in which he was travelling on the Accra-Nsawam road. He sustained gun-shot wounds at the back of the neck and the collar bone and died on the way to the Police Hospital. One other person was hit and injured in the foot by a bullet. A Joy FM report late yesterday said a policeman had been placed in custody in connection with the incident. He was not identified.
