Student drowns at Winneba beach

Winneba (CR), April 18, GNA – Mr Evans Agyabeng Anning, a final year student of the University of Ghana, Legon got drowned while swimming with others at the Winneba Royal Beach on Easter Monday.

Mr Anning, who comes from Agona Swedru travelled with other friends to enjoy themselves at Winneba only to meet his death. Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mr. Nicholas Gasu, In-Charge of Winneba Police Command told the GNA that a tidal wave swept Anning away.

At the time of filing this story about 1600 hours, a search party of fishermen were still searching for Anning’s body.
