Strike by workers still ongoing

The strike action declared by public workers has entered day three with workers still not at post.

A visit to some schools and offices revealed that worker are out of their offices and observing the strike.

At the Bishop Esuah School complex, some of the form three students, who were asked to come to school by their teachers, got stranded at the school premises as the doors to the classrooms were locked.

The SDA, Anglican, Bethel, Methodist and Badu Addo schools were all closed to students.

However, workers of the Takoradi hospital were on duty to provide healthcare services.

All the three court rooms at the circuit court, at the harbor area in Takoradi, were also filled to capacity by litigants, lawyers, the state attorney and the presiding judges.
