Stranded passengers vent anger on Ghana Airways

Accra, Aug 27, GNA – Stranded passengers, this evening besieged the checking counter of the Ghana Airways at the Kotoka International Airport to vent their anger on officials for their inability to fly them to their destination.

The Dusseldorf-Rome bound passengers were expected to fly two days ago, but were on each occasion asked to go back home.

Some of the passengers had been at the airport since 4.00 AM on Wednesday night and up till 4.00 PM on Thursday, there had been no word from the airlines until about 6.00 PM when it was announced that due to operational reasons the flight could not take off.

They charged on the officials who called in the Airport police to enforce law and order.

The flight has been rescheduled for 10.00 AM on Friday. 27 Aug 04
