Tv3network.com wish to retract a story carried on the website’s news page titled “Charlotte Osei blows cover on EC relationship with STL”, due to some erroneous information contained in that story.
The story had inadvertently claimed that the Electoral Commission had a contractual agreement with Superlock Technologies Limited (STL) to transmit election results, which was attributed to the Chairman of the Commission, Charlotte Osei.
After a review of the original interview with Kwesi Pratt on yet-to-be aired Hot Issue programme, which formed the basis for the story, it was evident that she never said that.
Rather, she told the host that electronic transmission of election results was one of the recommendations received by her outfit and was being considered.
We, therefore, retract the story and sincerely and unreservedly apologise to Madam Charlotte Osei for any harm the story might have caused her and the Electoral Commission.
