Spillover from Cocaine Allegations

?BENYIWA DOE BEGS LIKE A HUN HBACK?

MADAM AMA Benyiwa Doe, an outspoken woman in the major opposition party, the National Democratic Congress ( NDC,) has refuted Ken Agyapong?s claims that she has constantly been giving money to her as a result of her persistent begging for monetary assistance. Speaking to THE SUN over telephone, she said, she had been advised to throw this allegation by Hon Ken Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin North into the gutter.

According to her, this was but a malicious allegation Ken Agyapong would like to use to spoil her reputation in the society.

Benyiwa Doe told THE SUN newspaper that Kennedy Agyapong took some money to her constituency for the purpose of paying people for votes during the 2004 elections, which she saw and jokingly said, ?Ken, I heard you took money to my constituency; please give me my share.? She said, that was the end of it all, but the beginning of Agyapong?s shameless claim.

Madam Benyiwa therefore challenged Agyapong to declare how much he had given her.

This issue came to light last week when the MP, Ken Agyapong was reacting to a statement purported to have been made by Ama Benyiwa Doe on Peace FM, which suggested that after Eric Amoateng?s arrest in connection with drugs the next person to be busted would be Kennedy Agyapong.

Benyiwa Doe, in her reaction said, she did not mention Ken?s name, hence wondered how Ken could react in this way.

In his statement on Peace FM, Agyapong outlined how Ama Doe had constantly begged him for money, yet had now turned round to create the impression that he was dealing in drugs.

?You beg for money like a hunchback; when she meet me, she would tell me the difficulties she was going through and beg for money. After I have helped her, it is ungrateful of Doe to make such pronouncements,? Agyapong had said.
