Some Headteachers not transparent in implementation of capitation grant

Begoro, Oct. 10, GNA – The District Director of Education for Fanteakwa, Miss Mary P. Animwah has expressed concern at the refusal of some Headteachers to be transparent in the implementation of the capitation grant.

She made the remarks at a meeting with headteachers at Begoro on Friday.

Miss Animwah noted that, the headteachers kept improper records and were not transparent to their teachers and the School Management Committees(SMCs) in the implementation.

She warned that, henceforth, headteachers caught keeping improper records on the grant and also found not to be transparent would be sanctioned.

Miss Animwah said UNICEE has presented 40 bicycles to the district for distribution to girls who commute over five kilometres to school daily.

She said, henceforth, the district directorate would conduct a standardized examination for all schools at the end of the year.
