Six-year-old boy drowns in a river

Twifo Praso (C/R) June 4, GNA – Papa Kwesi, a six year-old boy from Praso on Thursday, got drowned in the Anhwieso river at Praso.

Mr Peter Ayirezang, Twifo-Heman-Lower-Denkyira District Police Commander, who made this known to the GNA at Praso on Friday said, Kwesi and his seven year-old sister; Adjoa Mansa, went to swim in the river when the incident occurred.

Mr Ayirezang said Mansa, however, was rescued unconscious and rushed to the Twifo Praso Health Centre where she was treated and discharged. The body of Kwesi was retrieved by divers the same day and deposited at the Central Regional Hospital at Cape Coast for autopsy.
