Six-hour rains in Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis cause havoc

Takoradi, June 17, GNA – A six-hour heavy down pour on Wednesday in the Sekondi Takoradi metropolis has created inconveniences to some residents and motorists and disrupted economic activities.

While the rains entered rooms of some residents at Tanokrom in Takoradi, motorists had it difficult driving through the flooded streets. When the GNA visited Tanokrom around 1300 hours some residents were seen de-silting gutters while others who had their properties wet were bringing them outside to dry.

The rains collapsed two fence walls at East Tanokrom but nobody was hurt.
