Six final year students of MPOSEC arrested for stealing

Kwesimintsim (W/R), May 16, GNA – Six final year students of the Mpohor Senior Secondary School in the Mpohor Wassa East District have been arrested for allegedly stealing school textbooks. They are Okyere Mends, Vincent Cobbinah, Samuel Carret, Evans Quayson, Samuel Baffoe and Columbus Ocran, all aged between 17 and 19 years. Briefing the GNA at Kwesimintsim on Tuesday, Police Superintendent Kwame Annane, the officer in-charge of the Kwesimintsim Police station, said on May 11, Mr Kojo Obiri Effrim, the Headmaster of the school, was informed that the schools bookstore had been broken into. He reported the incident to the police and when a search was conducted some of the books were found in the students hostel. Superintendent Annane said a total of 77 textbooks were retrieved from the six suspects who have been granted police enquiry bail to enable them write their examinations.
