The General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party might have excelled in his academic life and be a responsible family man, but his life as a politician has been branded unfruitful.
A former Member of Parliament for the Kwadaso Constituency, Ms. Josephine Hilda Addo, passed this comment on Okay FM during a one on one interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese.
According to her, Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie knows little about political tactfulness and does or says whatever he desires at his own accord.
His main aim in politics, according to the former MP, is to be at par with the General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia. But that aspiration, in her view, has not earned Sir John a good reward.
“Asiedu Nketia leads him on with his style of talk and Sir John follows blindly. In the end, Asiedu Nketia makes him look appalling, frightful and ineffective because he is crafty,” she said.
She ended by advising the party delegates not to vote Sir John as General Secretary but rather for a candidate who can handle the position better and bring development to the party.
